Job description:

What your day will look like:

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, your responsibilities across the Asia Pacific region would include:

  • Processing orders in the ERP system
  • Placing orders with Vendors
  • Responding to customer queries
  • Processing vendor and customer invoices
  • Managing the Operations ticketing queue
  • Assist in producing internal, customer, and vendor reports
  • Processing AP invoices and preparing payments
  • Processing corporate credit card statements & expense claims
  • Assisting both the Operations and Finance teams where required
  • Undertaking other tasks as required to support NEXTGEN’s ‘We Can Do Attitude’ ensuring NEXTGEN’s success and to operate in accordance with NEXTGEN’s OHS and Conduct requirements.

Job description:

Based in our North Sydney head office, our newest Vendor Manager will be working within our fastest growing Business Unit.

With your passion for marketing, building vendor relationships, attention to detail and previous IT software experience, we are looking for a committed, experienced individual who is wanting to create, manage and drive the GTM’s of our highly sought portfolio of vendors with the IT channel community.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Vendor Business Development initiatives and be the NEXTGEN key point of contact on behalf of our Vendors, including concept development, marketing coordination and collateral development, funding procurement, channel demand and engagement, event management, channel partner targeting and engagement.
  • Establish and create positive business relationships with key channel executives and senior-level decision makers.
  • Identifying opportunities for a vendor’s growth, proposing options, and recommending how they can work within the channel community.
  • Developing revenue generating plans through an understanding of our vendors preferences and needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders (Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, Senior Executive).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account intelligence in our CRM, including regular forecasting of business opportunities to the executive leadership.
  • Providing guidance on internal and external incentive programs aligned to GTM and growth initiatives.
  • Achieve your team sales quota on a quarterly basis and work with your Manager on remediation plans when quota is not achieved.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 -5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a channel environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Customer-centric mindset with outstanding business instinct and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead across functions and influence key decision makers.
  • Vendor planning experience, including planning at a regional level.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience working in cyber security – knowledge of solution offerings, highly advantageous.
  • Passion for the cybersecurity industry, creativity, and a desire to grow a new, emerging technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to have a flexible and can-do attitude.

Position summary:

  • With your attention to detail and previous IT software asset management experience, we are looking for a committed individual who can join NEXTGEN Optima as a SAM Contracts Coordinator. You will be the interface between Optima, the vendor and also our highly regarded channel community in this specialised, dynamic and strategic role.

What we want you to do:

  • Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution and oversight of various Software Asset Management (SAM) engagements including SAM current state assessments, software license optimisation reviews
  • Examine complex software license agreements and deployments to obtain license positions for various software vendors and to provide license optimisation advice to our clients
  • Excellent MS Excel skills required: ability to run functions, macros, vlookups, pivot tables, charts, what-ifs etc
  • Ability to transpose on-premise technical data such as VPU counts, storage and compute capacity into internal cloud migration tools
  • Must be able to work closely with Oracle and AWS account teams
  • Must be able to engage professionally with C level clientele

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in software asset management including leading SAM assessments, software license analysis reviews
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to conduct meetings with clients and third parties in challenging surroundings
  • Preferred but not essential - experience with market leading SAM tools including at least one of the following providers: Flexera, ServiceNow or Snow
  • Must have strong knowledge of Oracle licensing and intermediate level knowledge of AWS.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, issue identification, prioritization, and resolution and report writing skills
